Should I get a Macbook?!

s**t!!!! I was sleeping when this thread went up :( lol XD (Hopefully Apple made a yttalk account) hahahahahah :)

I use a Macbook Pro 15' inch w/ retina display & an iMac 27-inch iMac… all i can say is: awesome :D! Also, it's faster too. For me, the interface is cleaner than Windows OS :) If you have the money go for it! :) :) :) :)

Macbook is good for rendering videos, editing videos and good for schoolwork / work. It is a sleek OS that makes tasks quite easy and User-Friendly while some people complain that it dumbs it down too much; they don't look at the majority's perspective. It is much easier for a computer whiz to work on a watered down OS than it is for a computer dope to work on a hard OS where if you do one wrong thing, your computer could say bye bye.

Not to say that Windows OS isn't good (although I am not a fan of Windows 8. I like 7.), it is all preference. Most people just get mad over the price and mad over the lack of customization that a Mac can offer, but in all honesty, the average person isn't going to spend their weekend on newegg.com building a pro desktop: They want something, nice, fun, that works, and is powerful and the macbook does all of that.

For people saying it lacks that compatibility with many things, actually it is Windows that is being difficult to become compatible. Notice how Keynote can be saved as a Powerpoint, but powerpoint presentations can not go to Keynote. If compatibility is a true issue for users, you can always run Windows in a virtual machine, or you can even Bootcamp another Operating System. Also, on the Apple webpage when ordering a macbook or iMac, you can customize certain features of your specs in case you want an extra 4 GB of memory.

Personally, it is completely preference, but of course 95% of the people will throw out the same old arguments such as: "It's a waste of money" "It is a shiny toy" "The specs blow" etc. From what I've seen on my mac, it runs great even when playing CoD 4 although of course my FPS isn't 300+ like some hardcore gaming PC's are.

They both have their pros and cons so in the end, it depends on your budget and most importantly your needs.

Mac is for ADOBE Products, for photoshop, video rendering etc.
Buy a PC

Not really, those products work just as well on PC

Sigh, my PC has better performance than pretty much every iMac and it cost less than their cheapest Mac
