Should I Delete Old Videos???

Do you ever make videos and think everything is great and later change your mind about it? Do you keep the video anyways or delete it from your videos. I feel like this happens to me sometimes. I will have a idea make a video and later like a month or 2 see it has no views and say to myself... Man this videos is dumb no wonder it has no views.

Do you guys ever run into this problem sometimes? Do you keep the video or Delete it... Thanaks

I think if you delete you then lose the overall views your channel has? I think, I'm not sure though. If you really think they are stupid then I say just make them unlisted. So even then it also gives you a way to look back at your oldest videos and to see all of the progress you have made.

Unlisted means you can send links for other people to view it if you ever feel the need. Like whenever I make video to help people on Reddit on some of the subreddits I'm part of, I just make it unlisted and send the link to them. Private means only you can view it. I prefer to make my crappy videos unlisted just in case I ever need to send the link to anyone for any reason.

Yes, if they are irrelevent to your channel and embarassing.

PS. Of course do not delete them - just unlist them!

Just make them unlisted or something man! You may regret deleting them in the future.

Total views: If you go under the "about" section of your channel it will only show views for public videos.
If you go under your settings there is (or at least their used to be, I can't find it now) a place where it says "lifetime views" and that includes all views for all videos on your channel including private and unlisted.

What I did with my channel: I unlisted the videos I don't like. Then I made a public playlist with every single video I've ever made. I don't care if people see my old videos. But the choice is up to you.


I would not recommend deleting videos under any circumstance. At least if you private them then if you want to make it public or unlisted later you can.

couldn't you just play around with the title until people start clicking it?
I'd understand if it had very low retention but if little views then it's definitely the title.
