Should I convert?

I currently using Vegas Pro 13, I'm getting better and better at it. It's a fair application to use. I was wondering if I should rather invest more time into Adobe premier instead?

Does it even matter in differences? Or just use what you feel works for you?

I've seen people come out with great results on Vegas Pro 13, but I personally moved to Premiere Pro recently after years of using the Vegas software. I like it much better because of how it integrates seamlessly with other Adobe products like Audition and After Effects, which have helped me streamline my whole editing process with its various shortcuts and I've been able to add new elements to my videos too.

I think it depends on what software ecosystem you're more comfortable with and what suits your editing needs. At the end of the day, it's not the tool that matters, it's how you use it.

I've viewed adobe on youtube. It looks really neat, but looks more complex. I feel like I can do more with, but with vegas I'm just so fast and comfortable with.

Kristeen how long did it take for you to switch. I mean by hours of re-learning everything?

I think there is a 30 day free trial of all Adobe products so you could get in there and give it ago. I personally swear by Adobe, it's never let me down and you can do a lot of stuff with it. I've never used Vegas so can't speak to that! Good luck.

I don't think it took too long to relearn stuff and get to the same level of editing as I had on Vegas.

Since I've been using Vegas for years, I was pretty familiar with plenty of video editing concepts that I could transfer over to Premiere Pro. I've also had experience with Adobe Audition, Photoshop, After Effects and InDesign so I wasn't a complete stranger to their interface either. I just have to look up stuff once in a while. Overall, I think Premiere Pro has actually been saving me more time even through the transition.

What I generally spend most time on is learning how to do new effects with the software, and how to further simplify my workflow.

I would stick with vegas pro 13, (its the artist not the paintbrush)

I just watched your content (i wanted to see your editing)

Your visuals are really good, what mic do you use?? (is it the one that comes with the camera?)

Your look is perfect, your content ideas are brilliant, your visuals are good (it does seem a bit dark in your room)
i have to say the only thing lacking, is your audio, and i noticed you tried to cover the bg noise with music xD, i do it when i use my camera's mic.

Stick with vegas, maybe add a "Subscribe, like" png overlay at some point in the beginning.

I know this isn't what you asked for, but your channel is really decent, and when i see people putting in the time and effort, i feel like they would appreciate an outsiders time and effort critiquing the channel.

Your going to do well on youtube, fix your audio (buy a mic?) and maybe get a few more lights in the shot.

(also do you use the "Color corrector" effect that comes with sony vegas??)

I'm just currently using the camera mic. I have a shotgun mic i did ordered online (ebay) but it's really bad.
I'm not really familiar with mic and brands and all that stuff. From the beginning till now, I just stuck with the Rebel T5i mic.
Any suggestions on what mic is good to buy?

Yes I know about the color correction, ill try it out.

Thanks for the feed back bro.

The Takstar SGC-598 is a budget shotgun mic that keeps getting recommended. If you want something from a more reputable brand, RODE's VideoMic GO and VideoMicro (has a camera version and a smartphone version) are great options.

I personally use the VideoMic GO and the smartphone version of the VideoMicro.
