Should I begin a new channel? (Incl. Channel Name Poll)

I definitely agree with some of the people above. I would say create a new channel but keep your gaming channel on the back burner! You could probably upload on it 2-3 times per month or so.

It may be a little extra work, but I can probably figure out some way to encourage people to visit the new channel through videos I post on the old one.

It looks like you can change your channel name in the channel settings - if this is really the case then you can just rebrand your channel - anyone who thinks "omg how crap" won't watch but you will be able to draw on an existing audience.

Maybe do some videos about it - ask opinions and stuff - explain why you need to change - hopefully don't alienate people.

I know you have a lot of dead subs but that's going to happen to every channel, so why worry about it, what are you going to do start a new channel every 6 months?

I am aware you can change the channel name, but I cannot change the /InstantGamerSauce URL.
I'm not that worried about dead subs, but I'm more worried about branding and a divided subscriber base.
I wanted to start a new channel from scratch so that I can do completely different content than what I am currently limited to under 'InstantGamerSauce'.
My channel is 2 and a half years old, so I've been at this for awhile, it's just now, I have a better idea of what it is I am interested in doing.

Wasn't aware that you can't change the url - although to be fair how often have you typed in a channel name by url when you want to go see it, even though thats not the reason you are not keeping the channel.

Use the shortest and catchiest name because if someone watches and enjoys you they will remember your name to tell there mates

I feel like I can REALLY relate to you! I also created mainly Garry's Mod funny moments but now, I also do commentaries and I want to do rants but I guess I'm confused on the direction I want to go. I've thought about creating a new channel for rants as well. I had an old channel before the one I have now and I created this one because of the URL issue and I hated the name.
I agree with what many others have said. It's a hard decision but I say create a new one and keep the old to tell your active subscribers to check out your new channel!

I created a new one awhile ago but ran into some problems and had to delete it... but I'm looking into renaming my current one and changing the /c/ url to be not gaming specific. I like doing gaming stuff but I don't have a good enough computer to play all the latest games, and I like to do other types of videos as well. I'll probably make another poll for name suggestions on that.
