Should I be posting my videos on forums and such?

I do some promotion on 4chan, and it's worked fairly well. It got one video like, 800 views overnight. The thing is, I'm not sure if it shows ads on there. I also noticed I don't see the ads when I post them on a Proboards. Does it show ads when they're embedded on forums or 4chan? I can see why Adsense wouldn't want to be associated with /b/.

lol no its a good way to get alot of trolls that will attack your channel.
They liked my Trayvon video. The uncensored one had 58 likes and 15 dislikes. I had to censor it though and made that one private. Trolls don't really concern me, however. I just want views and revenue. Do the ads play when embedded on forums and websites?

Views and revenue won't come over night. It takes dedication and patience to get there. So yeah, it seems like a good way to get a little more recognition and that´s the main thing you soulf focus on right now. Revenue will come automatically, when your channel gets bigger, but right now, money shouldn´r be the main force behind your channel.
Just two cents.

From experience and seeing people spamming forums with content. Its generally not a good idea unless the forum is meant for such promotional purposes... but even then everyone is out to show what they have got... not to actually watch all the videos there so its kinda pointless...

This community is different however :D

Ads never play on embeded website. Unless its an external link
I'm still getting ad views, though, so I guess they're still going to my page to comment or like.

You're right, and I won't stop now that I have the answer. I know it'll take time and I'm gonna persevere.

The only forum I really spam is 4chan, but they're full of spam anyway. As far as regular forums go I just post my vids to ask my friends how I'm doing and let them see and hear me since they don't live nearby.

Couldnt hurt but you need to be active there. YTTalk is good for it when you have VIP and you put it in your signature.

The biggest part of it is the more high quality vids you have the more attention you get. All the big gaming channels have around 1k videos! And all consistent quality.

I would post my videos on fourms only if they relate, but I wouldnt spam.
Some examples where I had posted my videos on fourms are
-an artfourm made for the sake of sharing art videos and artwork
-on a harry potter google plus community because I made frawings of harry potter and the community had mixed stuff about harry potter.

+1. Completely agree. You gotta put your content where ppl look for it. If you do games available on steam for pc post the videos on the games community channel. If ur an artist put it on an art site. A big place like reddit or 4chan wont do you much good.

Think about it YTTALK is roughly 2k ppl. If you have ur vid in ur signature and your a good helpful member who doesnt scream watch me ppl will follow you. Same with any other place. Remember 1 friend here can lead you to two of his friends. If you post spam ppl will brush you off as another 12 year old posting his crappy minecraft vids.

Go to your account name>signature option>put in all ur stuff u wana put and hit the media icon that looks like a film tape the paste ur video link
