I just joined 2 google plus communities for youtube creators, and promoting your videos. One has over 2 million followers! and another has 20,000 and something

Anyway I posted my newest video in both communities to try and promote my channel and videos, and with that many followers in each community I should at least get a couple of views right?
Wrong!
All the other people who have posted have had some interaction on their post, and views on their videos I haven't
It sounds really silly but does this mean my channel is absolute rubbish, I know I am very new to it but with that many people in the community I thought I would at least get a few views but I got literally nothing and everyone else did.
I can't help feeling a bit disheartened and worrying that maybe my channel just isnt very good.
Has anyone else had this kind of experience?

Nah man thats just how it anywhere you advertise for the first time. People have to get used to you before theyll start interacting.

Even with yttalk - first few times I posted a video, no one even looked at it. Since then, each time I put up a video, theres atleast a few views that trace back to yttalk.

People will take notie, it just takes time.

Thankyou that does make sense! It was just the amount of followers in each community, if it was a small amount it makes sense but it just got to me that there was such a large amount and its like none of those people cared haha

With a larger group of 2 million constantly posting, one post will get swallowed up more easily than a group with say 3000 people. As the talking cabbage said, it takes time to get interacting with people in a group and getting some good feedback.

yeah i did think that but some were getting interactions the moment it is posted :/

whats the group btw? I need to post some s**t on there and get some more views lol. The only place I seem to get any serious return for my advertising my channel is specific forums or groups for whatever subject the video is, for example Ive just done a guitar video and put it on a large guitar forum, got a few extra views than normal. Don't know what to suggest for vloggers though.

i just searched youtube on google plus and joined 2 really popular ones, one was called youtube promotion, and the other is just called youtube but has like 2mil followers.
I may look around for a vlogging community one but my videos aren't all vlogs but my most recent one is classed as one though.

I imagine u will have to be an active member in the community in order for people to watch ur videos. If not they may think u are just there to promote ur channel, and u aren't willing to support other people's content. After i while u will prob gain views from that community :D

I think I see the two that she's talking about, and all it is are people uploading videos honestly... I don't see how you can actually participate.

You do what everyone does to promote their channel. So, as on YouTube your chance to be noticed is limited.

Any YouTuber needs exposure from other big YouTubers to grow. And since everyone seems to have a hard on for getting noticed by said big YouTubers... There is rarely anything to gain by pimping yourself in their presence.
