Should Google create an ad limit policy?

I think it's terrible when people have 4 ads on one 20 minute video. Most of them already have great views and it's totally b******t I have to watch 2 commercials in a tutorial video... When I see people being that greedy I mostly unsubscribe, screw you guys, I'm going home.

Four ads is a bit much for a tutorial video, they had two commercials and that was too much? Did they provide the information that you needed?

Nope, they should treat it like the free market. If people thinks it takes away from the content they should subscribe to someone else and stop watching the videos with toooooo many adds. But that's just me
I agree with this guy if the person your watching puts that many adds he's clearly making the videos for the wrong reason and/or abusing his popularity but that's just my opinion :)

Are we as content creators even able to put ads into the videos or more accurately, choose how many go in?

Yes, I believe that if your video is over ten minutes, you can schedule a mid-roll.
I'm not sure if this is a privilege that is earned though. (image added @RobbieLizzie)

How? Any channel that places too many ads only kills itself and their lower view count makes more ads available for the rest of us.

If I come across a video with like 7 ads in 30 minutes then I'm turning the adblock on - no more ad revenue for anybody, regardless of how carefully they use ads. I'm sure a lot of other people would do the same.

Don't be so sure. Don't punish everybody just because somebody has videos with excessive ads. As with any business, you can protest them by not giving them your business.
