You actually have to take time into interacting with your followers, spamming the YouTube url of your video leads to people ignore you and if its a constant spam, possibly loosing followers. I take time to tweet people and get to know them, also offering shout outs in return for them paying attention to my tweets (when i actually do post a video url).

Secondly, i have heard a lot about articles and such but im yet to try it. Thanks for taking the time to write this up, i might look into it and give it a shot. :)

Hahahaha yeah! I've actually changed domain as of today anyway. My new link is http://jamie-karakizi.com (you wont see anything more than a coming soon page at the moment). I must remember to update my YouTube profile now :p

I'm still trying to figure out the best way to garner more attention. The only thing I'm doing right now is promoting on Facebook and Twitter, and of course, talking to as many people as I can about what I'm doing. Sure, there is some luck involved, but most of it is having content people want to watch

Yeap this is also a valid point! People wont watch your videos if your content isn't good! This is something i figured out on my old channel; poor quality = no views.

I have another technique i want to share with you all, i actually forgot about this when i started the thread. This technique got me 5000+ views on a single video (which to me, and im sure others; is a lot of views!).

So if you've been to my channel, you will notice that one of my recent videos is about a celebrity (Ariana Grande). She also makes YouTube videos quite frequently and they always get 100,000 views (Which is to be expected since she is famous). What i done was i had a look at her video tags and noticed that she uses almost the same tags for every video (maybe changes 1 or 2?). Anyway i took her video tags and placed them in my video. The next time she went to upload a video mine was displayed on the side under "Video Suggestions". So when she attracted all those people to see her video, mine was pretty much noticed on the side and also attracted views.

Not sure if this method is old or what, but its something that worked for me! Thought i would share it! :)
