It depends. YouTube usually take down a video if it gains too many reports for the same subject. I had a case where one of my videos was taken down after what would seem like one report but there is no way of actually finding out. I - of course - appealed every single report and won but it is annoying as it limits your video's exposure (as the video is usually, automatically taken down due to the reports).
The haters know this and know it can impact on a video's performance. It is why they do it.

I think I had that happen once on my old channel, but I seriously wouldn't sweat it. Haters be hatin'! Be strong! =)
 
I had this issue, I made a 20 minute video and within 5 minutes of it being up it had one dislike and 3 likes, haters gunna hate, dont let it mess with you, just keep making videos and show them how you are bigger and better you are than them
