Seperate Skpe audio from the ingame audio.

Hello.
I dont want to record my skype calls because i wanna edit the dudes i worked with later into the video (using thier seperate audio file) which results in better audio quality. But the problem is i can either record my ingame sounds +skype or recreate the ingames sound with some metal i can bang against my computer. All i need is a way of having skype on a different sound layer so i can hear what my friends have to say but the skype audio doesnt end up in the recoded file.
I hope you get what i mean.
Thanks in advance

You could record using Dxtory? from what I know it records all your gameplay and different audio files in separate tracks and you can easily cut it out :)

its kinda hard...

Have 2 play back devices

set default one.

then for skype change the out put to the other one.
------

so the game will run on one out put, while skype is on the other one

witch means the game sounds will only be recorded and to add with mic, use a mic recording software.

but you will only hear skype unless you get a spliter witch will put both outputs into the head phones.

to have to play back devices, plug two head phones or play back devices into your computer.
example: head phone plugged in back and in front

how this helped.

I am not sure but you can let them record themselves on Audacity and send that to you!

Yeah that's what people do send each other the audio files :)
Well you see the problem is that the skype audio will be locked into the gameplay audio since every recording program picks it up because its using the same audio card/track/thingy what the games use to play thier audio. So i cant just paste it over the onld audio file since it would be tedious to actually sync perfectly (if its not 100% perfectly synced it will sound "double" if you know what i mean. )

Nope it doesnt at least from what i know.
Skype calls use the same audio device/track so from the sight of a program they merge with the ingame sound. Unless dxtory has some kind of software built in that can perfectly pick up just the sound of a certain program its not gonna do the trick. And i dont know if it has...
2. I dont have dxtory and i dont have the paypal money to pay for it.

I will try that but is there a way to do the same ting with a virtual play back device which outputs into the same headphone plug?
