Separating the Kingdom, starting over

I understand, i have 3 channels. This Gaming one, a Vlog one with my partners and my Solo-channel for me only. xD
I've just started watching your stuff and you're very entertaining, please send me a link to these channels when they're up! ['=

Awe, I thought you were gonna put vlogging for sure ): lol. #vloggers4lyfe But I think gaming would be nice! I'm sure it would be more popular too, maybe. Well on the forums anyway because like you said, there are many gamers on here. And I'm sure they'll want to watch Symph rage! :D

awww thank you so much! Will do!

I finally think I understand why my view/sub ratio is so out of wack. my channel is too diverse. I do too many different things. I also feel I've displayed too much arrogance on Symphonious7. When things were going well I began to act like I was hot stuff and I'm just not a fan of it. It's not even arrogance sometimes, sometimes it's that the motivation to vlog was all wrapped up in me, with no consideration for the audience, and if this helps them.

I think I will get a better return if my channel is consistent. But sadly I do so many things, that this is going to require 4 channels. So I think Symphonious7 is going to be my music channel, SymphComedy will be all my funny sketches/vlogs, SymphVlogs will be serious vlogs about life and my thoughts on things, and SymphPlays will be for my recently started let's plays.

I know it sounds like a lot, but really it's not. These videos would be going on my channel anyway, and this way I will have a one video a week schedule for the comedy/music/gaming channels, giving them a week to rack up views, and the vlog channel will have no schedule, as that would overwhelm me to be tackling 4 videos a week. But the gaming doesn't take much time so it's possible, and the music and comedy is what I was already doing once a week for each. Just thought I'd let you guys know, I'm not asking if I should do this, I've decided it's what I must do :)
Great decision master! I will support you throughout your entire youtube career!

Don't get downhearted bud, at least you have identified the problem. On your "welcome to my castle" video, I thought there was a touch of arrogance in there as it might appear to the average viewer, but I know you from these forums so I know that wasn't the case.

I'm considering doing a gaming vlog on my channel, but dont have the balls for it tbh. Maybe one day when I feel more comfortable in front of the camera like when I do my gaming videos. It still terrifies me :)

Send me your channel links when you make them n___n

But i just have something to say. I think your viewers should watch you for YOU. I think it's kinda messed up how a few viewers only watch your music, and others watch your vlogs, and others watch your skits, etc. I don't think you should do this (I know you said you weren't asking...but i just wanted to say it, lol), but I see your reasons as to why you should. So it's a good thing for you and if it's what you must do, then do it :) I just felt like your viewers shouldn't have only subscribed to see only one kind of video, you know what I mean?

I agree with this! People should come for the interesting video, but subscribe for the person.

But..at the same time I understand why you have to separate your channels, even as a LPer, I play different genres of games on my channel, Horror, Platforming, Shooters, RPGs, etc. And I have people who only sub for a certain game, for example I have a sub that only likes to watch my Banjo Kazooie Videos so I can see why my view/sub ratio is out of whack as well.

Good luck to your ALL your channels though, I'll definitely check out your gaming :)

See I think what happens, is I feel like it's understood on my channel I'm playing a "rock star kingly CHARACTER" And in reality I of course don't view myself that way. But I think that the viewers aren't in on the joke, the people who don't know me don't get that it's just a pretend character, and think I'm truly like this. And sometimes I watch back and I can see the average viewer perspective and I go "omg... it doesn't come across like a fantasy world, it comes across like I think I'm a star..." And so I want to switch gears, and do this the way youtube can handle. Rather than going with what I think is cool, I will think from the perspective of the audience, and how youtube thinks, and change my videos to get on their level and be myself, not the persona I created. And while I'm not actually as arrogant as the character I play, I think it WAS arrogant of me to not consider who was watching before putting up those vlogs.

I think you have nailed it right on the head there bud. Without some kind of explanation of "its just you being you", all they have to go on is the persona you portray on screen. Sad fact is, people like to b***h more than enjoy and it would be quite easy in the case of your content to look negatively on your skits like you think you are the bees knees :)

Personally, I think the way around it is to do more content of you being you, an additional vlog would definetly help in that regard. But either way, I wouldn't get too hung up on it. Keep doing what your doing and enjoy the ride :)
