Separating mic audio from game audio

So I have Windows 10 and use my webcam mic to record, but my recording program (Open Broadcast) combines both mic audio and the music from the game I'm playing. This makes editing my videos nearly impossible and/or a pain in the butt. I've looked nearly everywhere for the microphone program on Windows 10, but I still can't find it. Does anyone know where it could be, and if it's not on Windows 10, what programs do you use to record your mic?

You will need to record the mic separately with another program. Audacity is free program for that.

I agree with Dweros. If you want seperate mic audio and game audio, you have to record them separately. If you record them combined, you have almost zero chance of separating them.

Use Audacity to record your audio as other have said.

For actually getting ready to record:

Start Audacity recording, then when you're ready to record say "START" (Hit record button at the same time that you say start) "Hey everyone...."

Now when you go into your editing, match up the audio and video. Cut everything before and right after you said "START". Drag the remaining audio to the beginning of your video. It should start off with "Hey everyone...".

Your audio should be in sync with the video or close to it. Might take a little practice.
