Seeking Video Review

Hello everyone, BossKnight here. I started a let's play series of Pokemon Yellow for the Game Boy/Game Boy Color on my channel. It is getting views but not much retention. I'm on episode 10 and the first is still getting a flow of views but the audience retention is so low. I have seen where the drop offs are and I even had someone comment on one of my Pokemon Yellow videos where he/she was critiquing the series so far but it seems like that person deleted the comment because all I received was an email saying I had a new comment, looked at the email and only read the first sentence and that comment is gone now.

I need somebody to watch this video and tell me a straight forward answer as to why it is only getting a 24% retention rate. The main drop off is in the first 8 seconds so maybe I need to change my intro (I say hello, I don't have a graphical intro) but I need to save this series because I do have a lot of people subscribing because of this series and a ton of fan engagement on the majority of the videos.

Please help me, you are my only hope.

Easy. You are lets playing something everyone knows, with little to no story behind it. In a way that others have done it too.

For most people it is that they quickly realise, they know they game and they aren't gonna be exposed to anything new.

I think your talking power is nice and enjoyable.
You mumble sometimes so maybe the retention rate is decreased when you dont speak anything in between
So try to talk as much as you can, be funny as you can

You make a good point, I just wanted to play something fun that I would enjoy instead of caving into the normal lets play of brand new games.

I'm trying to improve a few things. First, my speech because I have a bit of a speech issue, and I am trying to reduce dead air. I am also trying to get a friend to come and play with me, but he is always too damn busy with his on YouTube and Twitch projects.
