Scripted or Live?

I don't do gaming videos but I do Vlog and so what I generally do is write out an outline for what direction I would like to go like things I want to talk about but keep everything completely unscripted after that.

Same, I like to keep an outline off camera on my iPad so that I can reference it between takes. It helps keep me from rambling on and getting sidetracked too.

i can`t really do proper vlogs like the profesionals do bcuz when i stat rambeling i start branching out and its imposible for me to stop and stay on track ... and i know i know practice makes perfect but ... uhhh its too dificult for me lol

That's cool though, some of my favorite vloggers are totally random and go off on tangents. It makes it more interesting and spontaneous. Reading off a script can be boring and too structured.

right on that one ... its just to find the balance between the too wacky and the too scripted lol

In my opinion, the good ones are mostly live. However, even during a "live" commentary, having some preset ideas to talk about is great practice. You don't necessarily have to script it out exactly, but just have a general idea.

yeah but in my situation where in "live" i`m not really entertaining and just akward and scare ppl very easy just by smiling at them its better for me to make it scripted lol

Hmmm, I understand. I'm a bit awkward in my live commentaries myself. Perhaps for now, it would be good to have a sort of "scaffold script" (or whatever they're called; I'm not great with terminology), where you have a sort of outline of what you want to say without it being scripted EXACTLY. That way there's room to sound more natural, haha. When you've gotten more practice and feel more comfortable, then maybe switching to full on "live" is a good idea.
