I do want to point out that Valve the company that makes one of the games that he does play has an open policy as far as recording game footage. Here is what their site said:


Valve Video Policy
We encourage our users to make videos using Valve game content, such as playthrough or instruction videos or SFM movies. We are fine with publishing these videos to your website or YouTube or similar video sharing services. We're not fine with taking assets from our games (e.g. voice, music, items) and distributing those separately.

Use of our content in videos must be non-commercial. By that we mean you can't charge users to view or access your videos. You also can't sell or license your videos to others for a payment of any kind.

You are free to monetize your videos via the YouTube partner program and similar programs on other video sharing sites. Please don't ask us to write YouTube and tell them its fine with us to post a particular video using Valve content. It's not possible to respond to each such request. Point them to this page.

Of course this policy applies only to Valve content. If you include someone else's content in your video, such as music, you will have to get permission from the owner."

So I don't think recording CS:GO was an issue at all, unless it was a youtube policy that may have caused his suspension.

It's not about the game that he was playing it's what he was doing with the traffic on his videos which he only knows. As William mentioned in the posts before he did a cache search and the traffic going into his videos were dodgy which may have been the result of spam, misleading titles etc, it won't matter what Valve or any gaming company states (I am aware of how fair use works pretty well) because YouTube doesn't allow it, it's not about his gameplay. He is in direct violation of Adsense and YouTube community guidelines which YouTube itself has told him. And the appeal may have won if it was more a more professional write up. We also have big sticky threads on the copyright section of the forums which explains copyright in detail by someone who's worked in the gaming industry so I recommend people reading all of them if any of you are unsure.

I'm back. First of all Thank you all for such helpful comments. Nothing was wrong on my part. I applied for another appeal and explained why I thought the spam and gaming accusations were wrong. They realized I was sincere and I regained access. This was almost a heartbreaking end to my newborn career and I am so glad that you all came out the woodwork to assist me. Did they say why they initially terminated your account? What was this trigger that gave you termination?

I got into an argument in the comments of a video. Apparently He decided to flag my videos, which started the whole thing. Then the automated systems saw the spam-like sites that had my channel posted. I explained in my appeal that I didnt post my link to any of those sites. YouTube sent an email the next day saying my account was reevaluated and determined that I didnt break the guidelines.

I have never seen them talk about termination triggers. They are too frightened that such information could be used by spammers to game the system.

Yea, they never out right said what triggered it. But I know he flagged my videos, and I also only got my appeal after mentioning I knew that those sites existed by I wasnt associated[DOUBLEPOST=1452843569,1452843537][/DOUBLEPOST]

Nah, thats fine, there were other sites that were clearly spam sites that got a hold of my channel link
