Screen recording Games

Hey guys, I finally built my new gaming computer after about a week and a half of drama between Asus and I, (long story Short I went asrock on the mobo and I will never go back! :D) but anyway I need some advice on how to screen record browser games. I've been using fraps but I don't like how it records my entire screen because I don't want to record the task bar or the top of the window. Can anybody recommend a good program for screen recording that lets me select the area I want to record. As a side note the program must be able to record browser games since thats all that I'm playing right now until i get my GPU.

I use Bandicam for browser games, FRAPS and DXTory don't like them. OBS would work great aswell.

Have you tried Hypercam? I've used that for tutorials videos and you can choose a portion of your screen to record. There's a trial you can use to test drive it before buying.

For my most recent (like the one in my signature) videos I used Snagit. Now I can't say it's the absolute best even though its still a pay to use one. It's good and it works for what it does, I think it makes the videos lag a bit. Not sure if the games always kinda run choppy because of flash or i'm just being nitpicky. Either way it works for me, does what it's supposed to.

I use snagit. simple screen recorder. You simply draw a box round the area you wish to record and it has an area zoomed in so you can liturally get that entire area by the pixel! No cropping needed afterwards. I cant remember if it records sound though as I tend to edit the sound differently anyway
