Saving the position of the video you're watching for later?

Does anyone know how to make it more permanent? It seems to be a feature that works whenever it wants. You used to be able to click the "watch later" button and it would add the video to the list but at the point you were up to if you have history turned on, which I do, it even used to do it when you didn't use the watch later thing, it would take you back to the point you were up to. But I'm getting annoyed because sometimes if I am watching a long video, like 1hr long and I want to go back to it later, I can't see the point I was up to. I know I could write it down but I'm not going to do that with the amount of videos I want to or do watch.

Ya i don't think there really is a way to do it.
What you could do is hit the share button and select where it says "Start at" (Then the time) and save that link to a notepad or wherever.

Yeah like I said, I'm not going to do anything like that for every video I'm watching lol there has to be a way, I probably just don't know of it, cause last month it was working fine now all of a sudden it doesn't work anymore. I might have to try playing with my browser settings, could be the tracking thing on FireFox, since I turned tracking off for websites.

Yeah it doesn't really work that well for me either, I kind of just do what @Axe08 does and just open a sticky note and note down the time.
