Same CPM Across all MCN?

XiaoK

I Love YTtalk
So one of my friend just switched his previous MCN to a new one, he previously is on Freedom, now switched to BBTV, and I asked about his current CPM with BBTV now, he got higher than the one while in Freedom.

I started to doubt it, because I remember what most people telling me is that, MCN all share the same CPM, unless you had 100k sub and above ( for their ad sales team ). He even screenshot the report to me, and yes, he had no doubt got much higher CPM compared with the one at Freedom.

MCN really share the same CPM default by Google? in this case why my friend got so much difference between two network? Can someone kindly explain to me?

No it not same all MCN has different CPM rate ... And also CPM depend upon the Which country they get views ,, how much percent thy get view for computer ,or other device ... if they get 100k View they probably get high CPM

That's only good timing, but if he isn't getting premium ads, all CPMs will be the same across networks. They all use AdSense to distribute ads.

so his CPM will actually back to the one he got from Freedom after time to time?
The only reason it would have increased is because of the month, as some are better for ads than others. He just happened to move when it was increasing. But it is impossible that the MCN had anything to do with this.

Any CPM changes seen from changes in your MCN as reflected in analytics would purely be down to the difference in period (month) & audience between the time at the previous MCN.

Remember, any MCN direct advertising sales do not show up in analytics so there is no way for an MCN to influence te CPM figure in analytics.

so probably his audience grow larger? or maybe his video start popular in certain country that have high cpm?

1. It's not connected with his MCN, this is due to the fact that now begins a period of the year when CPM growths (since september till december).
2. I told 100 times and will be repeating: all CPM are the same with any Network (as for ad sales team, you have to ask your network, but I never heard about it in reality).

We already cleared this up and affirmed it twice, I don't really see how your reply helps.

Still not sure about ad sales team. If it applies for a BIG channels only, we can accept that we should not mention it at all, because 99,9% are not in this group. So let's not mislead people. As additional perk yes, it might work, but for a BIG channels only. Actually I never heard/seen anyone HERE on YT forum who recieved it. So please find a time to prove it.
