Ridiculous uploading time

It could be a number of things...larger files can take longer, but most of the time it's either YouTube being jammed up or your internet being slower. I can get up to a 40 minute (1gb) video up in less than 90 minutes, but I compress my videos before I upload them.
 
the fact that the file is that large is probably the issue. I never upload anything above 350mb because of my internet speed. (But I can make 25 minute long videos because of compression) so yea, it's not too bad.

Well im running ubuntu so that was the only available exporting option for the program i use and there arent very many compressors, but im looking into installing a codec so i can export as h.264 and hopefully that will be smaller.

Get Handbrake. It's on both Windows and Mac and can compress REALLY well with virtually no quality loss...

there should be some tutorials on YouTube. I know a guy made a thread in the forums a couple days ago that had it. not sure where it was exactly though. Shouldn't be too hard to find.
 
Its clearly some kind of error since its over 200% of the time that you usually wait.

When this happens to me I just reset my router and it usually corrects itself after that.
