Iv just started up a new Youtube Gaming channel, I was hoping to make a chill enviroment but it seems im not attracting anyone!!! The average view time on my videos is 11s before they get turned off. Could you guys please take a look, specifically at my stardew valley ep.1 video and tell me what you think?? I take critisism with open arms. Thanks Guys!!

I like your channel. You just keep being you and you'll be fine. The only thing is that they are a bit long. You should maybe aim for around 10 minutes! Just a tip! You have gained a sub from me, despite that! I do like how there is barely any dead space in the video on Stardew Valley.

Thanks Lizzee, I really enjoyed the stardew valley episode i'm planning so many more. Yeah The reason the episodes were so long is because i recorded them in hour long bulks and had to split them up, finding a good place to split them was hard so the videos ended up being different lengths some long some not so. But my stardew valley episodes will be shorter. Thanks for the feedback tho it helped alot!!

p.s i checked out your channel and i actually loved your content,

-Your new sub :)

Well let me precede my review with the information that I don't typically care for full playthrough videos because to me they aren't usually as entertaining as videos that just highlight funny moments from games. But regardless I'd like to throw in my 2 cents in case you find it helpful.

I read your comment about people turning your video off in 11 seconds and watched the video you recommended with that in mind.

Honestly, I can tell why that's happening. The video starts off with us looking at a menu screen and your commentary starts with a bit of trepidation and an overall lack of enthusiasm. As an unknown gaming YouTuber (of which there are literally tens of thousands) you're going to have to fight very hard for the viewer's attention and time. Why should anyone watch 20 minutes of you playing a video game? Well you're going to prove that there IS a reason (though I do recommend you post shorter episodes) and the way you're going to prove that is in the first 10 seconds, then the first minute, then the entire video.

Here's my prescription: Before you begin recording, come up with a fun greeting and either a joke or something funny (game related) to talk about as you begin playing.

Another option is to do what tons of gaming channels do and start the video off with the funniest clip of the video.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the analysis Chris, u said Full walkthrough's were not your thing so thanks for taking the time to write that. I'm working on the trepidation and fear of messing up, im trying multiple takes and i'm hoping the confidence will come with more experience. Ill try shorter videos too that seems to be a recurring comment, ill try around 10m from now on. Thanks for all the advice on grabbing attention too ill get right to work! Thanks again for the reply it was very helpful and informative.

Anytime brother!

I think you're channel is good. I really like that short intro of yours! It's pretty unique! That's all I really have to say. Might not be much help but feedback is feedback!
