I have been running a gaming channel for a few months now and do far I have 44 subscribers. Adwords helps drive traffic, but I want audience retention. What can I do with my channel to do this?

First off, none of your videos and thumbnails, which is arguably one of the most important part of gaining an audience (can't retain an audience if you never get one). Plenty of people will make you free channel art, usually all they ask is for credit somewhere on the video or on your channel (however I'd recommend you learn how to make them yourself).

Also stay away from uploading videos without commentary. If you offer nothing besides a little gameplay and no commentary, people will just go to other bigger COD YouTubers who have more to offer for their time.

So, is it ok that I put thumbnails in all of my videos and then future ones will have thumbnails. I agree with BenRekt, they also help with organization as well.

I watched your youtube trailer, and one thing I noticed a was how your voice work was very monotone. It's a problem I struggle with myself, it comes off to people as being 'disinterested'. Talking with confidence, and picking up the speed of your read and I think you will start getting more subscribers.

I would say your channel art is very basic. It's a good start, but seeing it's a call of duty page, incorporate something in there that feels call of duty. If there are issues with using artwork from call of duty, you can get around that. Get some stock images of grenades, guns, ammo etc. cut it out, add some life to the page.

Looking at your channel first try getting a intro you also need thumbnails and i say never upload just game play without commentary makes u look lazy like u dint even try anybody can just upload game play. hope that helps you out GL on your YT journey and last tip write down topics u would enjoy talking about.
