Returning to YouTube - New Channel or Build old Channel?

Using science, eh? Keep us updated to your findings. Figuring out YouTube is an ongoing experiment in and of itself!
Huh?[DOUBLEPOST=1430100849,1430100819][/DOUBLEPOST]
I would say do what you feel right and then go from there and if you make a new one go for it and make it the best you can or rebuild your old channel.
Thanks. It just makes you umm and arg about too many things.

You said you were going to give it a couple of days to see how things panned out. That right there is science. I was just giving you a hard time as my channel is science based, and because of my user name. But seriously I am curious as to if it works out better keeping your old channel or making a new one.

I completely agree with Krozjin's post. The existing subscriber base and view count will give you an edge. But like you said OP, if it doesn't work out in a few months then just make a new one.
Good luck with your channel!

Will be giving it longer than a couple of days lol

I also agree with Krozjin, one of the things they tell you is that in order for the search engine to find you the more videos the better. In other words, if you have 2 videos the search engine will not pay as much attention to your channel than if you had 30 and as far as I can tell is has been true for me. I think is because you videos will be feature at the end of the vid and on the side column. Plus, you also have a fan base. You can always rearranged your old videos under a play list at the bottom of your channel and name it vintage or something.

Thats true. Might just try rearrange my channel with my new videos up the top and my really good old videos coz I had some videos that were awesome and attracted lots of views. Thanks for the feedback :)

Reading this thread gave me the idea to actually run two channels: my original vlog/gaming channel and a new channel for a new weekly project I'll be piloting this week.

Well thats a good idea and glad this thread helped you. Its good to have a channel for each as putting them both together may push some of your audience away.
