Retro Video Game Review Needs a Review

BossKnight

I've Got It
Hello all, I uploaded a new video game review where I reviewed Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis. The video is short and took me a while to complete due to technical errors, camera issues, making sure camera angle was nice and so on so I want to know your opinion on the video.

Somethings I noticed myself-
1. Short video means I don't cover the entire game.
2. Voice over sometimes sounds like I am reading a script.
3. Visual quality lacking in some parts.

What I'd like to hear from you-
1. Is the video entertaining to watch?
2. How's the music?
3. Would you rather hear game play audio rather than just the game music?
4. Are my edits easy to watch or do they need improving?
5. What do you think of my intro?
6. What do you think of my outro?
7. What would you like to see changed for future videos? (i.e., longer video, less shots of me, shorter video, talk about more aspects of the game, and more!)

Thank you in advance for taking a look at the video. Link goes here -

Hey Man!

To answer your questions:

The video was quite entertaining to watch, the use of game play, overlays, and voice over works in this case, and ensures there's enough happening on screen. The music was also fitting, as it is from the game, however I would say it is a little loud at some points and overshadows your voice. As for game play audio or music, you can actually create a nice balance of both, it just takes a bit of tweaking in post processing. As for your intro, I would say personally I found it a little long, and slow paced. Maybe shorten it to the last scene where it says "The Classic Nerd". Your outro is a good length however, and I think you could leave that as it is. There's enough detail in this video, in all honesty, I think if a video isn't concise enough for casual viewing then it can easily get boring, therefore I would say keep it shorter and touch on key points about the subject.

Thank you for the insight. I'll see what I can do with an intro and work on trying to balance music and game play audio.
