Resurrecting a Channel

daniel burgio

I Love YTtalk
I keep meaning to be much more active and consistent with my channel, but right when I was actually doing so, I got promoted at work, which means I'm busier, so I let my channel go for a while. Actually, other stuff happened before that, so my channel was pretty inactive. Has anyone had any luck getting there channel up and moderately running? I'm not looking to get huge numbers here, just some advice on how to bring a channel back after Youtube has most likely given up on it.

Kinda what's been happening to me, I've been uploading 1-2 times a week, and there not really half assed, and I've getting 2 subs, and losing 1 once a week, and growing at a very small rate. Seems like all we can do now is either buy subs, or clickbait nudes XD

I'm kind of scared to use Google Adwords because I think people get oddly offended if they see an add for a video and then click it and find it isn't someone they wanted or something.

  • Be active, not just on youtube but on social media and forums like this one.
  • Tag your videos well, tags help you get the video out a lot.
  • Redo your channel art and thumbnail style, I did it when I originally restarted my channel and it helped push my content more because it simply looked nicer.

I try Twitter, but that never seems to gain traction either. Reddit is a big no no as far as I'm concerned. I'll just try to be consistent and keep using Twitter.

Follow more people who around your sub range and just start conversations where you can, it's how I've started to get into the booktube community and have ended up talking to my favorite youtuber because of it

I definitely avoid the "plz sub to me" type of comment though. I just comment when I actually want to about the video.

Always avoid the sub to me comments. Most of the time they get marked as spam but I always approve them cuz more comments on my videos = more engagement so I think that helps with rankings. Pretty sure it does anyway.
