Restarting My Channel?

Hey guys,

I'm highly tempted to restart my channel. According to youtube I have almost 500 subs but yet my videos rarely get over 20 views. Which doesn't make sense to me.

I've often thought about restarting it from scratch and doing everything the same from there. However I would want to use the same gmail address as it's linked to my account on my phone, xbox etc. Would just make things easier. Not sure what would change on here either.

But what do people think? Is it possible to delete one youtube channel and make a new one under the same email address?

Hope you guys can help me decide.

In the hope that on the new channel the subs/views magically get blown up by doing everything the same again? I think you're wasting your time. Why not thinking of new idea's on the current channel. Do research whats trending in your niche and whats get views. Also i checked your channel. Your thumbnails, video titles and tags need some work.
 
By the same (should've explained this better) on earlier videos I have one watermark as I worked for one company, then itchanged to another, then it changed yet again lol. So it may have confused people.

What would you recommend for the thumbnails,titles n tags? I'm not expecting my videos to get thousands of views..but I do feel like my videos deserve more than under 20 lol. I do try different things, but either I'm not using them correctly (tubebuddy) or I'm just not as good as I thought lol[DOUBLEPOST=1439676839,1439673569][/DOUBLEPOST]Just googled thumbnail tips. It's all bright colours and things. No text in there either?

Tags is always something that's eluded me. I understand how they work, but never seem to get them right.
 
^^Avoid using too much text or don't use at all. I wouldn't say you use too much(its fine however) You see that a majority of your most popular video's don't have any text. If the thumbnail is attractive enough no text is needed.

I've just checked...and you're quite right lol. Never noticed that before.

Yup just a matter of analyzing your own channel using the YouTube analytics or your own investigative work. Look at which videos helped get you to 500 subs, why did people subscribe, what did they like about your content? Maybe you have some comments or likes on older videos that could also help give you an idea.
 
Hey I am restarting now well I did a few weeks ago but got really sick and haven't been able to do anything for it but yeah today I am restarting mine
So do it if you want cause it's really your decision and if your unsubscribers its fine to do it I say
 
Rather than restart my whole channel, I usually look back through my videos and occasionally delete, improve the quality and re-upload ones that look s**t in hindsight like the body repairing dying cells. My channel is still pretty DIY atm but seems to be doing ok :cool:
 
My current channel is just something I created just to share some of my artwork, nothing serious, no strategy etc.. I'm going to create a new channel on the same account and put more effort and strategy into it. I have 63 subscribers on my current channel.. So I might make an update video telling them I'll more active on a new channel.

I just have a feeling that the subscribers I have are unactive as 1 view on a new video when I have that many subscribers isn't right. But I will continue on this one for now, maybe delete some of the lower viewed videos and start generating the same type of thumbnails etc. Will make a video to go at the end of my videos with a subscribe button and a clickable area for previous videos. Hopefully that will help.
