Responding to comments

I'm not saying that there needs to be a thought out response but at least a simple "thanks for watching" or something related to the comment.

I'm not talking about people who get a ton of comments and can't keep up. I'm talking about newer channels and people who only get a small amount of comments.

I reply to every comment left on my videos as a way of showing appreciation to those who watch them :)

Well i dont get a lot of comments but I when I try to respond if its something respondable people need to know you hear there voice

Someone left a comment on a video of mine that was simply the letter "T" ... I've never been more at a loss for words.

And to add to the ongoing discussion, I actually really like replying to (non-hateful) comments. It is fun talking to people who enjoyed watching the videos.
 
I always try my best to. It's easy cause I only get 3-4 comments per video. It will be a lot harder if I ever start getting pages of comments.
 
I respond to relevant questions and positive comments. I rarely reply to negative comments unless I have a solid point to make. But even if I have a solid reply I sometimes refrain from replying to avoid conflict. I just don't have time for that.

I like to reply to every comment i get but i cant always respond in a timely manner any more as there are a lot. But within 12 hours normally.

When i am doing something like a give away or something i update comments saying that its closed and comments wont be monitored. even then i still end up replying.

I think its nice to reply.
 
I always respond to comments viewers make, if they have taken the time to both watch my video and then comment on it, it is just polite to respond to them. Plus, people enjoy being responded to, and makes them more likely to stick around
