Requirements to record at 1440p?

You can upscale games to record at 1440p even though your monitor isn't displaying it, though this is very hardware intensitive.[DOUBLEPOST=1389788321,1389788299][/DOUBLEPOST]
That notebook can't handle 1440p.

If I were to build a computer, what would I need in order to be able to record at 1440p without it being too expensive? I'd rather not spend more than 10.000-12.000kr.
I have no idea how expensive these things are.

A high spec PC is alooooooooooooooooooooot cheaper than a high spec laptop

The games also have to support it to be able to offer it in "real" 1440p. It's like having Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time in 1080p...

It depends on the game entirely, resolution isn't the only factor in hardware intensive s**t.
refer to /r/buildapc or /r/pcmasterrace, they have a pretty good grasp on things.

So I have this laptop, is it strong enough to record at 1440p?
I want to make sure before I order a 1440p monitor xD

It also have 16GB of ram.

I shot my GoPro Dog Cam video in 1440p and Youtube actually has the option to play back in that resolution, but when I click that res it just crashes my browser for some reason. I have a fast computer with an upgraded graphics card too, but I think it is just not made to support higher than 1080p.
