Render Settings

I recently tried some new render settings in 1080p...damn the render time is much slower lmao

Anyone have any hidden tricks or tips to share?

You have to tell us what program you're using so we can actually figure out what you're doing. You also need to provide us your rendering setting.

Why are you using VBR instead of CBR? If you can compare them, I don't think there is a lot of differences.

This is my setting for 720p, but you can also try it in 1080p. I have CBR, and 64/48 for my audio setting. I have CBR, 1280x720, 30 FPS in 3, and 100 sharpness for my video setting. Last, my render video setting is turned to best.

This setting works super well for me. xD

sony vegas pro 9...I used the render settings that braproductions uses. I'm doing it in Quality VBR which should make for larger files but oh well I think it's worth it

I'll give the other info when my video is done rendering
I watched his video and when you render in wmv compared to mp4 the file size is going to be larger (especially with Quality VBR), while his settings may be alright, you can always try other rendering settings to see what you'll get. The quality won't be that big of a difference if you use mp4

Yeah, I tried MP4 but I didn't like the video quality. I like MWV much better. xD

I use VBR so there isnt a set bit rate for the video...it varies to match the speed and complexity of the video. I've just noticed that with CBR my video can be glitchy at some parts with extra camera movement. But yea, there really isn't much of a difference. I'm going to try the same settings with CBR, and if it comes out the same...I'll do CBR because of the smaller file size.

Anways, these are my settings:

The properties for the project are

HD 1080-60i (1920x1080, 29.970 fps)
Progressive Scan

Render Settings:

WMV
Audio is CBR (default)
Quality VBR
Windows Media Video 9
High Def (1440x1080)
Pixel Aspect Ratio is 1.333
Fram rate is 29.970
Project Quality is Best

Everything else is default for the 8 mbps 1080-30p video

EDIT: The template I am using is HD 1080-60i (1920x1080, 29.970 fps)

I'm actually rolling with different settings now and my test video looks amazing![DOUBLEPOST=1374810925,1374808009][/DOUBLEPOST]So I'm using the render setting that uses the HD 1080-60i format and Sony AVC (.mp4 blah blah) with AVCHD 1920x1080-60i template with everything kept the same except the best render quality

but it takes 1 hour to render a 3.5 minute long video, this is normal correct?
