Removing duplicate channel

I've had my YT channel for several years now with around 250 videos on it. About 5 years ago I created a second channel (no idea why) and it has the same name but only one video was ever uploaded there. I want to delete this 'duplicate' channel so go through the lengthy procedure to locate "Delete Channel" but am scared to 'press the button' in case I delete both channels Including my main very important one!
Any advice please.

To be honest, I would be afraid as well. I would just unlist that video and change the name of the channel that you don't want anymore.
