You need a separate recording of vocal audio in order to have effective editing in post production. If you're recording your voice into your game audio all in one file, no editing is going to make that sound better.

Alright cool. I dont make game videos our audio is record through a shotgun mic plugged into the camera so the audio and video are in the same file. I think if i separate the sound in final cut and use his method I should be fine.
