Relaunching as filmmaking channel?

Hey lovelies, wanted to ask your advice on something!

I'm planning on relaunching my channel around september as a filmmaking/video production vlog type channel, in which I offer tips on all aspects of making a film/producing videos.
My question is, what do you guys think of that? Do you think it's something that you could be interested in?
I'm thinking of doing things like: gear reviews, hands on, gear tips/advice, advice to people starting out, etc.
Watcha think?
Anything you'd be interested in knowing how to do video wise?
Thanks for the advice <3

Awesome! What kind of things are you unsure about that you'd like to know? I'm not going to pretend to be Steven Spielberg, but my knowledge is pretty decent!
Well we're starting to improve our camera work so ideally we'd like to know what the best sort of rig would be? We currently use tripods and steadicams but would it be also good to invest in a shoulder rig or a gimbal?

I'll make a video about this at launch, but in my opinion and experience, shoulder rigs are generally more hastle than they are worth to be honest. They're also pretty expensive for what you get. Something that can be really cheap and that /can/ add a lot of production value, if not used in excess, is a track/dolly or even a slider. Handheld can be great if used properly (it's a b***h to pull focus and hold the rig at the same time, had to do that on a RED once, trust me, not fun.)
What kind of money you lookin' to spend?

Damn dude thanks a lot :D umm, I'm looking to spend no more than 100 (120 tops) on a rig, ive always wanted to use a RED! I've seen then but I don't really understand how they work

Used one on the last shoot I was on as 1st AC, they're such a pain to use! What don't you understand about em? I'll do my best to explain x)
And for 120, it's most probably worth me knowing everything else you have gear wise before I suggest anything :p

Well I understand that they shoot with amazing resolution, but ive been brought up with DSLR's so theyre a bit different to what my formats would be haha,Ive always wanted to use one but a few questions would be like how much maintenance is it, are they relatively similar to DSLR's in terms of video. and my current set up is the canon 600D and the nikon D5300. We have two steadicams that both have shoemounts and 3 tripods, 1 with a 360 degree balance

Yea the one I used was up to 6K RAW. The workflow is really different both in post and on shoot, it's quite a lot to work with for instance. We went through about 21 battery packs in one day. We had 10 batteries on constant rotation with the uncharged ones constantly charging. You've got to remember these batteries were 200 dollars each! As for storage, they use special RED SSD's which are about 600 dollars for 64gb. It is such an expensive start up cost..
Had a look at your featured video, video quality was good, I do think you need to invest in audio gear now, as it is so important and always underlooked
