Reddit is working. :O

I partially dislike Reddit. I have only ever posted my most creative videos there like Video Reviews of games but the site contains so many bad eggs that feed on the good that it becomes a very uncomfortable place to visit. Plus the interface is just a mess and is completely lacking in accessibility.

This is my experience in a nutshell. I both hate and love Reddit, so many haters, so few positives, it's the best and worst of the internet.

I always use Reddit to share my videos. I usually use /r/videos. Because of Reddit, my views is increasing a lot! But sadly, few of them viewed my video and hit the dislike button

Congratulations! I've started posting to Reddit recently. I've had a couple of views from there so far. I think it's an okay place to be.

I think Reddit for vlog type of videos isn't really great unless someone posts for you. I don't know about gaming but they hate it if you promote yourself normally. The vlog subreddits might as well not exist...there's not much activity. For someone like me it would have to be someone who has a pretty good karma score posting one of my videos and people will still probably down vote.

Having said all of that I still actually like reddit, I'm not just not yet that active on it.

If you're self promoting on Reddit you have to read the rules of the subreddit you choose to promote on and see if they allow video links. I didn't when I posted a video on the /r/ Minecraft subreddit and was instabanned from it. There are a few subreddits that are ok with video sharing, but I haven't had much success with it.

It helps a lot more if you can get a friend to share your videos on Reddit instead.

I wouldn't know where to post my videos, as there doesn't seem to be an appropriate sub reddit for them that isn't almost extinct in traffic.

Ugh...one minute I'm hearing Reddit is hell on Earth...the next its heaven. There's no middle ground with that website apparently. lol

If you wish to post videos on it just be prepared to have thick eye lenses as you may see an incredible amount dislikes on your content. The site is mostly populated by internet users who would rather just have internet discussions and basically see videos as poor attempts at self promotion.

If you post your own content you will be looked down upon but if you post things that promote conversation between site users then it's a little easier. Reddit for the most part is for spotlighting important topics, leaks and videos that aren't our own looking for views. Don't use it unless you want to talk about something else other than your video.

Remember too that dislikes can actually bait others not from Reddit to dislike your videos too. The Like bar can for the most part give people twitchy fingers in wanting to contribute to the stat in a selfish need of fulfillment.

Until Youtube makes its Like bar require a comment to give with the one button press don't expect to get any feedback at all unless you see a big red bar as something helpful.

I only post on sub-reddits that have an active base of video creators, so in reality I'm just joining into a conversation with other YouTubers.

I've had 0 dislikes from Reddit, and since I've been advertising there I've gained 3-4 subscribers a day.

Reddit is a minefield. But if you are willing to lose a few internet limbs learning how to navigate that field, there are some folks who will be happy to view your videos at the other end.
