So is it just me or does anyone else record their videos when you're alone home and when their neighbors aren't in? I feel weird when I record videos when my parents/neighbors are home as they make too much back noise which is heard on the videos. what's worse I normally talk to myself a lot apparently and I feel embarrassed as I don't notice I'm talking to myself and people hear me and they basically tell me I do. So to record my videos I wait for to be alone at home and for my neighbors not to be in.

does anyone else do this?

I don't have that luxury.... Often if you listen close you can hear my kids chasing the cat's or dog's or each other... it is kinda entertaining at least to me to hear a stampede as we are talking. Other times they are in the Studio running the equipment for me, so I am never alone.. it's like having an Audience.

I always record when I am home alone, because I don't want to get interrupted by people walking in. And besides, my parents don't like me being on YouTube, they don't understand and it is just weird to talk English (I am Dutch) when my parents are downstairs. Also, I feel like I can't give the full experience of myself when I am not home alone, I just have to hold back when people are in the house.

I record like that as well. I don't like it when my parents or sister can hear me because sometimes they like to comment on it like "oh, we heard you." or something like that so I wait until they go out or I wait until my parents go sleep because they can't hear what happens if their door is closed so that gives me some comfort.

I do not have the time to wait until I am completely alone (besides my cats will always be there), I rarely are home alone. If my girlfriend were to be out of the house, then I have like 7 apartments that is connected to mine and a lot of neighbors. There is also very often a lot of kids around outside, so there is generally a lot of noise. I close the window, which makes it insanely hot in the room and I've invested in some proper audio equipment.

Im not so worried about the neighbors but if my family is home ill have the door shut and do my utmost to pretend they dont exist XD that said if they're in the house i cant yell. i don't mean im not allowed i mean i physically cant bring myself to yell XD

My ideal situation is door closed windows closed to minimise sound as far as people hearing me say and do stupid things, meh its going on youtube anyway XD but yeah if you know people can hear you, especially familly it can make recording difficult and you lose some of your charector

I also record when no one is in, As I live in the middle of no where, and only have one house next to me, I don't worry about them!

But yeah I do only record when no one else is in! I feel awkward and shy when my parents are in and I do it...

I record regardeless if people are here or not. as long as they dont disrupt my audio, they shall live to see the next day

I used to record only when I was alone, but then I realized that I didn't have a good enough window of opportunity to get high quality content out. I've just adapted to record while others are around. I usually just close my door and tell everyone I'm recording.
