Hi,

I'm looking for a gaming recording software so I can record my gameplays. I use Fraps, but the files is too big.. I'm looking for something easy to use and not to expensive..

Thanks,
Christoffer

Why not change fraps settings? I find it works fine on 30 fps, you can even split movies every 4gb. Theres a choice to make if half-size too. I use full-size though. Otherwise, I think your quality will not be very good. Its probably the best option.

Camtasia is always good. Or if you have an elgato game capture and two comps (ie Pc and Laptop) You can record screen with that :)

Dxtory is really good, but it is pretty complicated to use, Bandicam isn't as high quality, but is much easier to use.

You can try DXTory, but the files will still be big if you want them to be in HD. You can try deleting the videos after you're done with them.

Or, use fraps, import the video to Movie Maker (yes, nooby i know :p) and then when saving use the Youtube Preset and it uses 1080p and is small enough to upload. Just delete fraps file after and you can use the MM file if you want to keep an archive :)

I'd say Dxtory, quality is great, video files aren't as big as Fraps but they are still big and its at a reasonable price really. It also doesn't kill FPS like Fraps does :)

You can use MSI afterburner for recording as well.
Much smaller size as compared to FRAPS and its a BIT less lagging and it also gives the same quality as FRAPS.
It's also free :D

I use XSplit for now to record vlog's and stuff. Very highly compressed files that are just 50 MB for... 15 mins of video? Compare that to fraps and you'll understand the difference ;)

You can use Dxtory with the Lagarith Lossless Codec! The file sizes decrease MASSIVELY whilst not killing your FPS! :D
