My laptop has a HDMI port. What software would I be needing after that. Anything that's good? (I don't care if it costs money!)Not old at all, I think I started this like yesterday or the day before, haha.
This cable is all you need technically. You can take the HDMI out and pass it through a capture card like an Elgato HD if you want, or to your PC if you wanted and record with screen capture on there if you can.
You still need a way to record the screen in which you are outputting to, but the problem before was that unless you root your device, there wasn't a good way to screen capture. Now that I can put the screen on a monitor, TV, etc, there are MANY more options.
)Most HDMI ports on a laptop our for video out.
If you can find a way to get the image onto your computer, any capture program can do that. But its playing it onto the desktop to capture it that will be tricky, this will be based on your PC/Laptop having a video in that you can pull up somehow.
For a really modded operating system I'm surprised that they don't have screen recording as a feature that comes with a new update.Well, that's what I would recommend. I mean, I use the Elgato Game Capture HD Card...but theres a LOT of different game capture cards out there. Unfortunately its one of those investments.
I apologize for confusion earlier, I usually assume that if you record games most people record consoles as well =P
