Recording Audio

Hey guys,
To some of you this may sound a really stupid question but to me I don't know how to do this (maybe a derp moment.) What I want answered is how do you record other peoples voices you are playing with when you are on an xbox 360 and playing through online (so in different houses) I thought you could through game chat but it doesn't always pick it up. If anyone knows can some comment below.

I only know the slightly more awkward way which would be to ensure everyone has either a dictaphone or everyone records on seperate recording devices/programms. Then everyone is clear and you can just piece it all together. However like I say its a bit more niggerly and long winded. But worst comes to worst there is still a way to do it

Fair enough, Unfortunately though my mates I want to play with don't have any recording software its just me. But thanks for the thought though, I appreciate it!
 
Okay I think I know how to do that @Pentra thanks and @NerdDigestive gestive I am the only one in my mates who has recording software and wants to make YouTube videos they play games because they find it fun so I not going to force them to get audacity and set that up when half of them dont have a headset or computer next to their console.
