Record with my webcam while im useing frap?

Well the HDD doesn't have that much of an impact on the FPS.

I thought it did, I know that Dxtory is very hard drive based, as the speed of the drive affects the end quality of the file?

Either way, my i5 processor and AMD 7950 GPU would have covered it in my opinion, but not at all :(

Well that depends on what you are recording honestly :) And your graphical settings :)
And also, Dxtory is Hard Drive based, but FRAPS is Processor-based, that's why it lags a lot sometimes :)

It should not, but i know that if the hardrive is full it can lagg the whole pc or mac up. But im not sure how much impact it do have over the FPS.

It can do that, maybe try deleting some files you have no use for, if you record using FRAPS maybe don't save uploaded videos, save space?

I've heard that recording to a separate hard drive from your games and recording software is always a good idea. If your on a computer in which you can add new drives that is :p

I have 4 hard drives in mine, simply because I had spare ones and put them all in, so that helps :p

sounds smart, it seems like when the Cdisk is full, awfull things starts happening with the computer. atleast that is what i have experienced.[DOUBLEPOST=1365757844,1365757728][/DOUBLEPOST]its like digging to deep, and awakening something in the dark.

get a webcam and sony vegas, or you could use any other editing software if you know what to do, record your webcam with windows movie maker, or use xsplit to record it in sync, or if you use windows movie maker, sync it all when you edit, i use sony vegas, so right click on the side and add a new video, and then put your webcam over it, then go over to the right of the timeline and its the left icon, click it and the box that shows the video screen, expand it and move it to any corner, expand to get to the right size to fit the video

With regards to HDD space, I'm packing a 320GB main drive and a 2TB external. Any time I record something with Fraps, if I'm not immediately going to edit/render it I'll transfer it to the external. And also, this should be good practice anyways, but I defrag the main drive at least once a month. If I get the chance I'll do it weekly. Overkill, maybe - but it keeps things running smooth and fast.

A question with regards the original topic - so it's possible to record webcam footage while Frapsing? I'm not overly keen on the whole facecam idea, but for something I'm doing I may have no choice but to do it... monitoring this thread for future reference I guess :)
