I want to make a gaming channel for YouTube but I need to record my friend's voice over Face Time Audio and my voice via headphone/microphone combo using my computer. I also need to be able to hear my friend through the headphones, and he needs to be able to hear me through the microphone on my headphones. I want the sound to be completely wired (ex. no setting my phone next to a microphone for recording).
My headphones have a microphone/headphone combo plug, my iPhone has a combo jack, and my computer has a combo jack. My computer also has USB, HDMI out, and a mini display port.
Is there some $30 or under piece (or pieces) of equipment I can use to accomplish this task?
