recognised outside of YouTube?

Have any of you ever been recognised in normal everyday life? Obviously by that I mean recognised from your channel and not just by a friend while shopping, anyway it's happened to me twice so far and I found it strange but exciting, also when does it count as fame? I'm guessing that is when more people know you from YouTube than real life or when you are recognised on a daily basis, I find it strange when people know who I am but I don't know who they are but I suppose it comes with the territory, anyway what's the views on this?
 
That would be so exciting if that were ever to happen to me haha but it isn't yet. I guess your point is correct though, I think fame is when you're recognized on a daily basis.
 
Hmm... I wonder how little chance that has of happening to me. I mean, let's say I became one of the most famous people on YouTube... with animation O.o
 
I'm pretty hidden, tis why i have Crumble as a character, she'll also look better on t-shirts. ;3
 
I've had friends of my friends randomly come up to me. People I've never met just start talking to me about something they saw in a video I made and how much they enjoyed it. It's a wonderful feeling, makes it all worth while. I dream of the day to be recognized for making people happy on a daily basis haha.
 
Of course, I have been recognized when I am hunting through the Hot Wheels pegs in the stores because I'm in my natural element LOL! But one of the recent instances was when I was playing poker at Commerce Casino and somebody recognized me from the rail =)
 
LOL This is one of my biggest fears, and one of my biggest dreams. Here's why (long story is long)...

Let's say one day I'm shopping around with my Dad in the grocery store, and all of a sudden, le wild fan appears from out of nowhere!

"Hey man, your videos are tight, and whatnot. Keep rockin' dude."

All I can respond to that is "Gee.. Uh... Thank you! Glad you enjoy them!"

Now, le wild Dad is angry, and wondering exactly what the hell this fan is talking about. This, of course, would lead to me having to explain this whole thing much earlier than I want to.

So there. It would be a very proud moment, no doubt. But it would also lead to a series of events that would totally screw up my home life. This would be 100% worse if this happened with my Mom around. O.o LMAO
 
I've never been recognized because I don't show my face, but in about 50 minutes I've got a vid going up for 10K subs where I do show my face, so I'm interested to see if I do get any sort of recognition :P I'd probably be so awkward and not know what to do if I was approached by a sub, haha.
