Rebuild older videos or move on?

I've Got It
As I've gone along I've improved the audio quality of my videos- I bought a new microphone, started putting background music in my videos and learned to use Audacity to clean up my audio track and boost up the volume levels.

I was going back to my starting videos and tinkering with putting music from YouTube's library into them. I realized that even while favoring the video track at the highest level the music still overpowers my voice track in my older videos. I really don't like the audio quality in those videos.

Do you think it would be beneficial to rebuild some of those older videos with better audio or is it best to keep plowing ahead and continue to improve the process?

Agreed. My old videos were absoulte s***e, bu I leave them be so people can see how much I've grown, how much I've learnt, and what I have to offer.

Yeah, I don't see the point in spending too much time on your older stuff. The more we learn the more our videos will improve. Most of the larger youtubers have lower quality older videos but they get better. I actually like seeing the progression.

If there were particular signature videos, redo them. I took my most popular 3 videos from when I started, and redid them to make the audio/video what I have always wanted, and to expose it to more views.
I didn't like feeling embarrassed about the quality of my most popular videos, thats why I redid them. If they aren't still getting a lot of views, leave them be.

I would just leave those videos up and just keep working on your new videos, I personally don't delete any of my older videos even when i started out with a web cam. I like to go back into my videos and see how i have improved.

Hmm... If this were me, I'd probably freak out and have an anxiety attack because my older videos aren't as good of quality as my newer ones. I KNOW for a fact this will haunt me once I reach that point.

However, I'd say the best method would be to move on, and put all of your effort into your newer content. That way you'll ensure these videos come out the absolute best they can be. :)

People will eventually want to see your older stuff as inspiration for them to see your progression.

I cringe at alot of my older stuff too...

I'm gonna agree with the majority and say that you would be better off leaving old videos alone and focusing on your new stuff.

I would maybe give them improved thumbnails and just move on

This is a good idea. Something to boost them a little bit quality-wise but not a ton of effort.
