Reading The Script

Just curious, if you write a script. How do you read it?

I know, left to right. But how often to you look into the camera, or look at the prompt (or your screen) or do you memorize it?

I'm starting to produce a few vid's that require it and am trying to figure out the best way to accomplish this.

There are a couple of decent videos on YT as to building a teleprompter. Have a look at those as well as a video by DIY Perks where he shows how to do a screen for videoconferences where your eyes can see the other person AND be directly in line with the camera (ie maintain eye contact)

The above of course is if you are actually appearing on screen while speaking.
If not, recording a separate voiceover track gives you endless opportunities to get it just right.
