Undiscovered....
After some advice!
I create video reviews for my main YouTube channel.
I do not get paid for these reviews - my main revenue stream (for what its worth) comes from the ads etc on my videos. Hence I always allow companies to link to my videos and embed videos etc onto their social media pages or websites - this not only helps me promote, but also helps the company as they have a review/guide video for customers to use.
Anyway, I have been asked by a small company (not a huge well known company) to re-upload one of my videos to Amazon as well.
I am hesitant to do this for 2 reasons:
1. A video review is sometimes several days worth of time and effort. In order to re-upload to amazon I would need to re-edit and re-work the video to remove places where I would add annotations etc - since these are YouTube specific features only. I would then also need to re-render and export the video, as well as re-upload it all over again. This could be a good half a day's worth of work.
2. The only money I make for my time and effort is from the YouTube ads. By completing the above extra work and re-uploading, I get nothing whatsoever. No extra ad revenue from Amazon etc either.
My time is already strained with the YouTube review requests I still have from others.
What would you do?
