Random notifications automatically turned on for all

I just got a notification for the first time ever. I had it turned off but it said it would notify me of videos I might be interested in every so often.

Maybe that's good news for us underdogs? Or only huge (and therefore evil) channels will get sent as notifications? Hmm

actually this is good for small YouTubers like us, when you watch a video or two from the same youtuber, i think to the YT algorithm, it means you like the kind of video that youtuber uploads, so you get notified when that person uploads, this is what i have noticed so far, so you don't have to be necessarily subscribed to a youtuber to get notified when they upload new video.

I got another notification today. It was not a newly uploaded video either. Are there now 2 levels of notifications? I guess it's good but I don't know how other people actually watch YouTube and how they use it
