Rage effect? - Premiere Pro/After Effects

How can I do it? I tried searching Google and it returned nothing.

I basically have a part in a video I'm working on where I rage bad and I want to emphasise this with some effects other than using the words "rage engaged" on the screen or something like that, I've done that before, it's lame-ish, + I already have a death counter on the screen. I'm thinking something similar to Trevors Rage Mode in GTA V like this:

But I have no idea how I could do it and I'm not sure using the exact same effect would fit with the type of game I'm playing so I'm looking for something similar. I've tried playing with Tints in Premiere Pro but it didn't look right. Any suggestions or anything?

I don't have adobe open right now so I can't test this out, but I think you should try adding a yellowish tint then add a transparent overlay for the red border. Something like this probably.

Oh wow thanks. That looks pretty much like what I need, is there a name for this kind of effect? Or method used to create the tints in the corners? lol Also I was hoping to go with red instead of the yellow/orange. I didn't want it to look too much similar to Trevor's rage mode. This seems to work pretty well, I can even animate the opacity to make it flash.

Vignetting is where the corners/sides are all faded, normally it's a black fade, but it works with any colour. Youtube or Google vignetting and so many tutorials will come up.

I just made this in Photoshop by filling the screen with red, deleting a giant oval section in the middle, then added a gaussian blur with a really high radius.

AH! awesome, thanks, that will come in handy, I like to know the technial terms too xD

Nice, thanks. I'll see what I can do, it seems as Andrew said Vignetting is what I want and it also seems it can be done directly in Premiere Pro so I'll try that, they seem easy enough. Just in case do you mind if I use the 1 you made?

If you create it straight into premiere pro, I would make an 'adjustment layer' and put the vignette on there so it's not stuck to the video, it gives you a lot more control :)

Cool thanks. It seems the Vignetting in Premiere Pro is a bit limited.

Oh cool thanks was literally just typing I was limited in Premiere Pro, the tutorial suggested using black videos though, apparently adjustment layers are new too xD

you create adjustment layers just like you do with text layers, then you just add them over the top of the main video layer, anything added to the adjustment layer will appear on all layers underneath :)
