Question for Gamers

Niche's have an easier time to grow usually, if you're all Overwatch, ALL COD, ALL this or that etc - niche channels grow quicker but I've seen a lot of niche channels try to move from their niche market to another game and do horribly. So it really is what you are trying to accomplish. For me, I play any game I want and that I think is fun - which makes my growth a lot slower and harder, because they would have to come back for my personality rather than the game I am actually playing. A channel dedicated to COD only, will be more about content than personality or a mixture of both but moving onto another game will usually cause a loss in subscribers, this is from what I've seen from a lot of people who have posted these problems.

Yep, completely agree with this!

People who just play 1 game not even 1 Genre just 1 series like COD for example they were slated by one of the COD companies calling them not real Gamers I do agree with that in part I don't like every Genre of game but I do like several so mine is a Variety Gaming channel I play and record the games I like and want to play.

There are lots of Minecraft & COD channels but even though some of those channels can do well I am surprised the person doing the recording doesn't get bored after a while especially if you do it for several months or a few years. Just playing 1 type of game you miss entertaining other people and gaining new subs by say doing an RTS, Turn Based Strategy or a Survival Horror there are soooo many games out there and to be a true Gamer I think you need to explore different Genres.
