Quality or quantity?

So on youtube, they tell you to upload videos once a week, as it encourages people to come back to your channel. But do you think it's better to upload once a week but have the videos not be your best or upload something like once every two weeks and have the videos be as good as they can be? So basically, what do you think is better on YouTube, quality or quantity?

Idk but i see uploading once a week as quite little actually :P
I think 2 videos a month isnt gonna get you far if your only starting out :(

Quality and quantity are both important its not one or the other

Obviously I think that both quality and quantity are good, finding a balance between the two would be ideal. However, if I had to choose between either of your scenarios I would say that picking what you consider to be the better quality to be the right choice.

You said it the best, as long as you find it good enough and upload regularly.

It's a balance because you need to make sure you have enough videos to keep people engaged but that each one is good enough that they'll want to follow you. One awesome video a month is not better than two pretty good videos a month. Remember YT is VERY built upon view time and unless your one monthly video is so good people watch it repeatedly you'll get thrown into obscurity.

Once a week is, IMO, BARE minimum.

You definitely need both, but quality is more important. The idea of quantity also has to do with consistency though. And not just consistently good videos. But if you're going to upload once a week, make sure you keep that schedule. That way your viewers always know when the next video is coming out

A steady schedule is so freaking important. I noticed I was hanging low in the 30s and 40s for a while, but as soon as I started going daily uploads at noon EST I started getting a small pickup in subscribers. I've also seen graphs of what happens when big YT'ers miss their upload schedule and there's also a valley in subs.

YouTube is a fickle mistress.

Think about how it would effect a show on television if they just didn't put out the new episode when they usually do lol
