Putting your username in your title.

YTtalk Mad
You've probably seen, you might do it yourself, youtubers putting there title as
"Video Title| Their username". And I was wondering if you thought this made it look more proffessional and let the viewer know that it is a video from a user that makes regular content. Or does it not do this and just makes the video appear lower down the search bar.

No idea why you'd do that. Anywhere a video is listed on YouTube it shows who uploaded it. I suppose if you have a lot of stuff embedded offsite it might make a difference?

it would only really work if you were quite big, smosh do it, but considering they are big people are going to want to watch but besides that I'd say it most probably won't do much

I think it could help if you want the video to rank for your channel name but it should rank for it anyway, we have only a few videos with YTtalk in the title but when you search YTtalk on there you can see most of our videos so its obvious channel names are already included in their search algorithm so it's probably best not to bother and use the title for something better.

I think that its purpose is to embed the channel name into the viewers mind so that they remember the name of the channel and if they see the word "Ships" which is involved in my channel name, whenever they see the word "ship" it has a chance to make them remember the videos which will draw them back or tell somebody about it.
