Putting tags in Descriptions

The thing about Spam404 is they can only tell YouTube directly what the problem is with certain channels who violate the TOS. Spam404 just doesn't report abusers on YouTube either, their group mission expands across the internet. They don't have time to pursue particular people either as they mainly just take reports. Whoever is reported to them they can go to a YouTube rep and tell them whats happening because they are apart of the YouTube Deputy Program.

These smaller channels breaking the TOS to further expand their channels are learning it from the bigger ones. Channels currently on the rise are teaching smaller channels these things as well. The other day I saw video where someone was claiming their friend didn't know how his videos were showing up on PewDiePie's reccomended and related video section on the right hand side of PewDiePie's videos. Well I checked this friends channel by doing a quick search of PewDiePie on his Videos. Turns out he was using the Keyword 'PewDiePie' in his Tag Descriptions to link his videos to Felix. I watched all the videos with PewDiePie in the Tag Descriptions and also found that there were more YouTubers tagged in them. This kid was gaming the system. Furthermore, in these videos, the video content had nothing to do with the Keywords he was using in his Tag Descriptions.

More of these bigger channels need to start being terminated for their violations. Shane Dawnson, ShayCarl, Whiteboy7thstreet, RadBrad, PewDiePie are all some of the biggest violators of the TOS on YouTube. Its because of them there is so many people looking for tricks to game the YouTube Algorithm. There will only be more spam and unrelated content in the recommended and related section of videos if YouTube really doesn't put their foot down. They know who is abusing certain tactics, they just don't want to terminate them because they would be losing money. The more these channels get terminated for their violations the more people will be aware and stop abusing YouTube for money and views. That is all there is to it but if YouTube wants to continue to pop their own bubble than no one can stop them.

I have yet to see PewDiePie break the TOS in anyway, at least since I was subscribed to him, although I have no doubts he probably violated ToS in the past when he was starting out, I kind of expect a lot of people would have but it's the 1s who continue doing it who ruin YouTUbe, not sure about TheRadBrad though, I've seen some of his vids (like 10-20 secs worth) but never saw tags in his descriptions. Same goes for the others, not familiar with them as much. I know Philip Defranco used to (probably still does) game the system hardcore with his misleading thumbnails. I know ChaseMoney likes to tag his descriptions with his tags. Normally if I see a video with multiple tags in the description I refrain from watching it. But the bigger YouTubers who do game the system do cause problems for smaller channels who are less familiar with ToS, time and time again I've seen smaller channels say "but I saw so and so do this and that and they don't get into trouble." I know it's their fault for not looking into the ToS but who can blame them when so many bigger YouTubers get away with it, naturally they'd think it's okay too. The other issue that comes into play that allows the bigger YouTubers to get by is the fact that majority of views come from viewers (non-content creators) who they themselves know barely anything about the YouTube ToS, so if they see tags in the description they naturally ignore it instead of reporting the video.
I looked up a video the other day for Killing Floor 2, searched "Killing Floor 2 Gameplay" and found a video first page said "Killing Floor 2 Gameplay 1080P" blah blah blah. I reported the video because A) there was no gameplay at all it was just teh reveal trailer uploaded, B) the video didn't even play in 1080P, C) they spammed tags.

And I just found a 2nd video:

Edit: my mistake this was the original www.youtube.com/watch?v=nd5KcXVyBns but 3 videos I found on the first 2 pages that are misleading. lol /facepalm

Meta-Tagging (Tags in the Description or other Irrelevant Places) as well as Irrelevant and Spam Keywords in his Tag Descriptions. Why do you think he privated/deleted all his earlier videos?

Have you heard of VidIQ? Its a Google Chrome Extension. It lets you see the Tag Descriptions of Videos. Tag Descriptions and Meta-Tagging (Tags in the Description Box and other Irrelevant/Unrelated areas of a Video) are two different things. I think you might of mixed up what I was saying People think their Tag Descriptions can't be seen so they spam irrelevant Keywords there. I've reported many of these types of guys, a lot of which who have been terminated.

Anyway, I get what you mean. I think most of the time the people who end up violating the TOS by gaming the system haven't even read the TOS. Than I think the second largest group of people who are vioating the TOS by gaming the system are the people how you described who don't care but do all the tactics and tricks anyways. Thats why I think terminating a lot of these bigger channels for their violations will put a big dent to spammy and misleading content.

I certainly have noticed some unmissable channels with tag lists in their descriptions, I think the problem lies with what is or isnt a violation.

I see channels writing paragraphs filled with keywords that are related to the video in some way even if just a little bit, writing them in other languages for SEO purposes, placing items such as posters in the background within their videos and sticking that in the description too. Then there's the channels that put whole lists, they're both gaming the system in my opinion. I honestly think they could be struggling with their own criteria on when to ban and dont want to ban their big earners.

Yeah I do use VidIQ a lot actually, which is why I'm saying I have yet to see PewDiePie violate ToS (some of the games I've played he has too so they pop up in searches) since being subscribed to him lol But I call tags; tags as in the actual video tags and tagging descriptions as tagging descriptions lol so I know they're 2 different things. And if he privated/deleted all his earlier videos, that's the best thing he could have done instead of kept them up lol I think most YouTubers who were gaming the system should have instead of just removing the tags they abused as the video would have already received it's stats and by then removing the tags wouldn't reduce it's SEO.

The larger YouTuber's are literally the face of YouTube I mean when you think of YouTube you think of these people, the people you see on the front pages and its these people that roll in the traffic to YouTube, if they were to take these guys down there would be a huge boycott and mass hate towards YouTube's side bringing in bad press and with the large YouTubers having a large following may move to the likes of Vimeo or someone will take advantage of this and create a new "YouTube". YouTube would be pretty damn silly to take them down but at the same time its not that fair on the small channels being shut down for small offences like this. I dont nor have I ever used tags in my description but I have seen it done and still see it being done

You must have him confused with someone else... He has never tagged in the description, and every single video he has ever posted is still on his channel.

You must be new to his channel or don't watch many of his videos. Felix add's tags to videos that are usually the first in a series of lets plays that he does. However YouTube recently added a feature that lets you remove tags from all your videos so YouTube doesn't have to. People were complaining to Felix on twitter that he was meta-tagging even though he has been outright against spam and gaming the system on YouTube. So he started to remove tags, phrases and other keywords from particular videos.
