Putting on a voice for YouTube?

Malevolent

Liking YTtalk
When I started my YouTube channel I thought it would be funny if I put on a really deep voice when I record. I've made and uploaded 5 videos which I feel are funny however I'm not sure how I feel about the voice I do. They don't feel like "my" videos and i'm not sure what I should do. Should I just keep uploading videos like I already have? or should I just use my regular voice (I'm not sure how I can transition from the fake voice to the real voice without confusing people)

What are your opinions?

Well I think that's something you have to decide but if you're gonna change then now would be the right time because with more videos/a bigger audience it would be (even) harder. In my opinion, if you don't feel like doing it then you should probably change.

Use your normal voice, it will be much easier for you, not having to put on a voice every time you go to make a video.

How should I transition from the voice I currently use to my normal voice? Like I just imagine it would be weird for the viewers.

What is your channel? I imagine it won't be a big deal since you only have 5 videos. There isn't really a whole lot you can do apart from straight up say that you put on a voice before.

I wouldn't recommend creating an entirely "new voice." If you don't think your actual voice lends itself well to the videos you are making then tweak it a bit. I used to do COD commentaries and my normal speaking voice is too soft, so it didn't work well. When I would record I would speak with a bit more force and increase the tempo a bit to keep a good pace for the video. Try a couple tweaks to how you speak and see how it works out.

Normal voice, if you keep that up and you gain recognition then people will begin to grow a custom to your "fake" voice and that will stick with you and be your "thing" I guess. Then if they meet you in real life or something and you talk in your normal voice chances are they'll be let down or get annoyed at the fact you put on a fake voice.

To transition over to you normal voice, I would probably just start a video with the deep voice and few minutes, cough, and then continue with your normal voice without any notice or mention leaving the audience with a "WTF just happend"
