PS4 may pose problems for Gaming Channels..

PS4 will only output over HDMI, which if similar to the PS3, will most likely have HDCP and without component, due to the HDCP protection, you may be unable to capture gameplay footage with a capture card.

Workarounds are currently available for PS3, though can be expensive.


Note: Yes PS4 has recording built in but this may be restricted and exporting footage to external HDs may not be an option, and of course this is of no use to Gaming channels who need to record for longer periods.

Excuse me? it comes with its own Game recorder built it, kind sir....:P
 
i doubt the capture industry will just let their products die off, im pretty sure they'll make an adapter, or we may have to upgrade our capture devices (not looking forward to this)

I doubt anyone will make hardware to bypass HDCP, if they do it will be expensive; lets hope Sony disable HDCP on games.

How could we YouTube gamers get their attention..
